Synopsis
This monograph presents an overview of the increased clinical and basic research on interstitial cystitis, a urologic disorder which is much more common than was ever believed in the past. Authors from both the United States and Europe have contributed chapters on its epidemiology, etiology, diagnosis and management. Much of the information has never before been published in the medical literature. The concise presentation of the topics provides an update in terms of the present status as well as a platform for beginning new research en deavors to combat the disease.
