Synopsis
The present book aims to make an interdisciplinary contribution to the concretization of a participatory risk policy. From an ethical, political science and legal perspective, it is shown which possibilities exist for democratic handling of technical risks and which are the greatest obstacles to a participatory risk policy. Based on the discursive treatment of individual questions, existing experiences with new forms of participation are systematically evaluated and linked to a concept for a democratic risk policy.
