Synopsis
Most computerized analysis systems are unable to identify idiomatic and phrasal expressions as semantic units. This work introduces Phrase Manager, an operational system which allows such expressions to be specified, administered in a database and recognized in a text. Phrase Manager is thus a tool which permits an incremental cyclical process of development of rules and dictionary entries. This text is part of a series of studies in the field of computational linguistics and data processing.
