Following the great success of the profanes Hours of Happiness - a new novel by Renate Feyl about an eminent writer of the 18th century. In her new book, Renate Feyl describes the life of Caroline von Wolzogen (1 763-1847) as a writer and sister-in-law Schillers. What the Wolzogen had to conceal in their Schiller biography out of consideration for contemporaries is told in this novel.
Two things shaped the life of Caroline von Wolzogen (1763-1847): her writing work and the proximity to her brother-in-law, Friedrich Schiller. He loved the sisters of Lengefeld, married because Caroline rejected, Charlotte and still wanted to have both always around him - Charlotte for the everyday practical and Caroline for the mentally higher. Caroline, who was married to the secret council of Wolzogen in second marriage, had to learn what it means to live with a genius in the family and find her own way as a writer by his side. Her novel Agnes of Lilies, pre-printed in the hores, caused great attention. She was appreciated by Goethe and admired by Wilhelm von Humboldt and created the basis for Schiller's afterglory with the biography about the brother-in-law. What she had to hide in this biography with regard to contemporaries is told in this book.
After the novels about the Gottschedin (idyll with professor) and Sophie von La Roche (The profane hours of happiness), Renate Feyl presents another book about a significant writer of the late 18th century with The Gentle Yoke of Excellence.

hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Leseexemplar. German. Seller Inventory # 061567

Hardcover. Condition: As New. Leichte Kratzer / Abnutzungen / Druckstellen.
