Synopsis
Michele De Lucchi belongs to the new generation of designers and architects who continue the tradition of Sottsass, Mendini and Castiglioni in their own individual style. De Lucchi was involved in some of the most significant innovative and creative movements of Italian design, that is, the Alchimia and Memphis Groups. He has done extensive work for companies such as Olivetti, Vorwerk, Pelikan and Artemide. He has also designed the new branch system at Deutsche Bank. This text contains comments on De Lucchi by Alberto Alessi, Alberto Castiglioni and Toshiyuki Kita, as well as an exclusive interview with De Lucchi in the 16-page insert which he himself designed.
