Synopsis
An old handwriting of the Nibelungenlieds is stolen from the Munich State Library. The thief places a clear fingerprint at the crime scene, so that the main commissioner Anselm Plank is about to retire immediately knows: his opponent, art robber Benno Spindler, challenges him again. Together with his designated successor, the attractive Stephanie Gärtner, he is looking for Spindler. The chase takes him on an adventurous trip across the Alps, because Spindler lays out tracks - tricky puzzles in which life and death are concerned.
