Synopsis
Water tank is a widely used structure, hence any material cost saving is appreciable. In this book, a strategy has been extracted for an oversimplified optimum design for reinforced concrete intze type water tank, using the robust tool, genetic algorithm. The optimum design formulation has been depicted in the format of objective function and the constraints. Some optimum design studies have been executed for investigating the accomplishment of the evolved technique and to acquire drifts in the optimum design that will definitely prove to be obliging for the new designers.

About the Author
Nitya Patel is Assistant Professor, IES IPS Academy, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. She has done her BE from SGSITS, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India in Civil Engineering with an Honour's degree. Also she has completed her M.Tech. in Building Technology from IIT Roorkee, Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India successfully.
