Synopsis

The diameter and height distribution of the stand growth and yield study is a very significant key point for predicting current and future forest management planning. The plan of the study is to compare three selected theoretical distributions in modeling diameter and height distributions of Swietenia mahagoni plantations growing in various vertical structures. As a result, the study suggests that the Weibull distributions were effective for describing the diameter and height distributions which derived were statistically and biologically acceptable and could be satisfactorily used for stands of Mahogany plantations grown in Bangladesh.
