Synopsis

This book discusses about, effectiveness of floor-ladder training on functional balance and weight distribution in unilateral below knee amputees with prosthesis. This research was done during 2008-2010 while the author pursuing his Master Of Occupational Therapy (Rehabilitation). This book contains 5 chapters along with references and appendix. First chapter gives the details of introduction regarding the amputation, prosthesis and causative factors of amputation and level of amputations. It explained the functions of joints, phases of amputee gait prosthesis and its uses. It also provided the rehabilitation after amputations in different stages. The Author wanted to provide the Agility Training for Amputees to give them a better mobility and independent.

About the Author

Debashis Rout has Bachelor in Occupational Therapy (2007), Masters in OT Rehab (2010). He worked as Project Co-coordinator for National Trust Act under CIRS at Bhubaneshwar and worked as Junior Lecturer at NIOH, Kolkatha. He worked as a Guest faculty for 1yr at Satellite Centre NIEPMD. Presently working as a Lecturer in Occupational Therapy at CRC, Rajnandgaon, C.G.
