Synopsis

Migraine is a very common problem, 7th disabler affecting people in their reproductive age. A lot of debate about the pathophysiology of migraine as until now it's not fully understood, in addition to this mystery the increasing comorbidities associated to migraine specially depression which adds to its disability. In this book we illustrated the genetic background of migraine which is believed to play major role in its pathophysiology, and mentioned all details of its comorbidities with specific focus on depression, giving the results of our work about whether cognitive affection in migraine patients related to migraine itself or Comorbid depression, also our work regarding auditory information process defect in migraine patients. Lastly discussion about the usefulness of EEG in migraine diagnosis and our recommendations for future research in this field.
