Synopsis
Over the course of twenty years, the biotechnology and pharmaceutical company Novartis has succeeded in transforming the industrial area of its predecessors into a modern and open campus. Based on the master plan by Vittorio Magnago Lampugnani, an urban grid was created in Basel, on which successive open spaces as well as world-class architecture and art found their place. Since autumn 2022, the campus has also been freely accessible to the public on weekdays during the day and is visited by people from all over the world. With the Novartis Campus Guide, a publication is dedicated to the company's global headquarters for the first time that serves as both a chronological review and a thematic leader. The buildings and outdoor facilities of star architect: inside such as Tadao Ando, Frank O. Gehry, Álvaro Siza and many more. are developed in the form of a tour with current photos, plans and illustrations.
