In 1983, when the time came to choose between «Switzerland or the Boat», he chose the Fletschhorn in the Swiss Valais. In 2003, he took over the management of the Hotel with Maren Müller und Charlie Neumüller, both of whom had also been working in the Fletschhorn for many years previously.
