Dr. Wan Zhanhong, Ph.D. Supervisor, is currently working at Ocean College of Zhejiang University. In June 2006, he graduated and received Ph.D. from the State Key Laboratory of Fluid Power & Mechatronic Systems, Zhejiang University. From June 2006 to July 2008, he worked at the Ocean Research Center in Zhejiang University as Postdoctoral Teacher and then stays in Zhejiang University for work and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2009. Prof. WAN has deep research in Port, Coastal and Offshore Engineering; Clean Energy and Water Resources; Fluid Mechanics and Air-Sea Interaction; etc. He has published more than 60 academic papers, most of which have been included by SCI/EI. He has also obtained more than 30 patents, won two provincial- and ministerial-level awards, presided over four projects of National Science and Technology Program, one project of Young Scientists Found and two general program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project of Provincial Natural Science Foundation, one of China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and one of State Key Laboratory Foundation and also involved in several other research projects. From August 2011 to September 2012, he was Visiting Scholar at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (cooperating with MIT) in the United States, which is the world's leading ocean institute, and he visited the United States again from April 2015 to September 2015, engaged in multiphase fluid mechanics. He served as Review Expert for the Engineering Science and Technology Awards, Supporting Programs of Industry Leading Talent Team, etc. He is also Reviewer for several Standards Programs. He has served as Deputy Director of Ocean Research Center of Zhoushan and Institute of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Zhejiang University. He is currently Member of Science and Technology Development and Industrialization Working Committee of Chinese Society for Oceanography, Member of Marine Intelligent Equipment Branch of Pacific Society of China, etc.
