Palimpsest asks the question, “What happens to human artifice after the fact?” The photobook documents the author’s archaeological investigations of abandoned sites in and around Berlin, where Nature is cast in a central role.

Benjamin Busch (b. 1987) is an architectural designer and photographer living in Berlin. Utilizing photography as an analytical method, he investigates complex fields of relations within the built environment.
