Synopsis
This retrospective of San Francisco-based sculptor Fletcher Benton is heavily illustrated with hundreds of color and black and white images. Benton was widely known for his large-scale steel abstract geometric sculptures. Originally an abstract painter in the 1950s and 60s, Benton moved to sculpture, arranging boxes and geometric forms into three-dimensional paintings that changed with the viewer's perspective.
