Synopsis
August Scharr était soldat dans un régiment de réserve de la 2e armée von Bûlow. Il raconte son épopée depuis la mobilisation jusqu'à sa capture durant la bataille de la Marne. Il fut admis à l'hôpital mixte d'Issoudun et figure donc à ce titre dans le second cahier qui répertorie les prisonniers allemands admis dans cet hôpital. Il est emporté par la fièvre typhoïde en novembre, laissant son récit aux mains d'un administrateur de l'hôpital, auteur du second cahier.
