Les 4 lois de la robotique : Un robot ne peut porter atteinte à un être humain ni, par son inaction, permettre qu'un être humain soit blessé. Un robot doit travailler pour les êtres humains, sauf si le travail qui lui est donné est en contradiction avec la première loi. Un robot doit protéger son existence, si cette protection n'est pas en contradiction avec la première loi. Un robot ne doit ni ressembler à un être humain ni développer la moindre émotion, afin d'éviter qu'il ne finisse par se croire l'égal de son créateur.
