Synopsis
Saint-Paul et Saint-Joseph sont deux prisons de Lyon construites au XIXe siècle. Devenues vétustes et surpeuplées, elles ont été désaffectées en 2009. Avant que la transformation des lieux ne provoque une amnésie collective, Ernest Pignon-Ernest a réinscrit sur les murs de ces prisons désaffectées le souvenir singulier d'homme et de femmes, célèbres ou inconnus, qui y ont été incarcérés, torturés, exécutés. Le photographe Bruno Paccard vit et travaille à Lyon. Ces prisons ont longtemps fait partie de son environnement. Il a été missionné par les archives municipales de la ville pour y réaliser un reportage après leur fermeture.
