About the Author
Edmonde Charles-Roux est l'auteur d'une importante œuvre romanesque et biographique, dont Oublier Palerme qui a obtenu le prix Goncourt (Grasset, 1966), Elle, Adrienne (Grasset, 1971), Une enfance sicilienne (Grasset, 1981) et Isabelle du désert (Grasset, 2003), l'étonnante biographie consacrée à la vie d'Isabelle Eberhardt. L'Homme de Marseille (Grasset, 2001), un récit-photos, a reçu le prix Méditerranée. Edmonde Charles-Roux a été élue présidente de l'Académie Goncourt en 2002.
