Il est vrai que leur vocation utilitaire les reléguait automatiquement dans le camp des objets auxquels on ne prêtait pas attention; un camion ne se devait pas d'être beau mais de supporter la charge et la transporter à bon port, un point c'est tout. Pas question de confort non plus, le camionneur étant par définition un ouvrier dont la cabine n'était qu'un lieu de travail comme un autre.
