Synopsis
Cet ouvrage introduit le lecteur aux principaux problèmes traités par les sciences de la communication, qui tentent de se constituer aujourd'hui en discipline autonome. Ils s'y trouvent sélectionnés et échelonnés, depuis la relation interpersonnelle jusqu'aux ouvertures de la mondialisation, en passant par la communication médiatisée et l'évaluation des technologies, anciennes et nouvelles, qui construisent, élargissent et déforment l'espace public des représentations sociales et politiques. Les concepts-clés de la sémiotique, de la pragmatique et de la médiologie interviennent tour à tour, pour relier des problématiques à première vue disparates, mais en réalité communicantes. La " communication " est-elle bonne, est-elle mauvaise ? Sans relayer l'imprécation, ni les naïves promesses, l'auteur s'efforce de mettre à plat des phénomènes complexes, et de les rendre discutables.
