Neuf ans après la disparition de sa mère, Albert Cohen publie ce récit autobiographique. Au fil des pages, il évoque son enfance et brosse le portrait d'une femme qui n'a vécu que pour et par son fils. Nostalgie et émotion, mais aussi humour et autodérision ponctuent cet hommage d'un fils à sa mère. Un livre bouleversant.

About the Author
Albert Cohen, né en 1895 à Corfou (Grèce), a fait ses études secondaires à Marseille et ses études universitaires à Genève. Il a été attaché à la division diplomatique du Bureau international du travail, à Genève. Pendant la guerre, il a été à Londres le conseiller juridique du Comité intergouvernemental pour les réfugiés, dont faisaient notamment partie la France, la Grande-Bretagne et les Etats-Unis. En cette qualité, il a été chargé de l'élaboration de l'accord international du 15 octobre 1946 relatif à la protection des réfugiés. Après la guerre, il a été directeur dans l'une des institutions spécialisées des Nations Unies. Albert Cohen est mort à Genève le 17 octobre 1981.
