About the Authors
Scénariste et dessinateur de bandes dessinées.
Pica est né en 1953 à Saint-Étienne. Après des études d'architecture, il se lance dans la bande dessinée en 1978. Il publie plusieurs milliers de pages dans divers journaux : Pif, Tintin, Spirou, Le Journal de Mickey, etc.
En 2000, chez Bamboo, sort Interro Surprise, premier opus de la série Les Profs qu'il réalise avec Erroc. L'album a un succès retentissant et obtient l'Alph'art jeunesse 9/12 ans du meilleur album 2000 à Angoulême.
Chaque semaine, Pica retourne sur les bancs de l'école pour que ses Profs puissent investir les pages du Journal de Mickey.
Depuis, les tomes de la saga des profs s'enchaînent, comme les rentrées scolaires, rencontrant toujours le même succès et faisant de cette série l'une des plus populaires du monde de la bande dessinée. Les albums de Pica sont traduits dans une quinzaine de pays.
