Synopsis
L'affaire aurait pu se traiter par correspondance, mais Forrest tenait à revoir le décor de son enfance, cette moitié d'île tropicale au large de Savannah qu'un certain Mike Hegan se propose soudain de lui racheter. L'endroit lui apparaît encore plus étrange que dans son souvenir, avec ses plantations à l'abandon parmi les marécages, l'odeur entêtante des oranges sauvages et le cri lointain des alligators. Une atmosphère vénéneuse qui n'explique pourtant pas totalement l'extravagant comportement des invités de Mike Hegan reparti inopinément sur le continent les laissant seuls face à un nouvel invité imprévu, un tigre mangeur d'hommes qui rôde autour de la maison.
