About the Author
Diplômé de l'Institut d'études politiques et licencié en droit, Gilles Perrault, né en 1931, reste cinq ans au barreau de Paris avant de se tourner vers l'écriture. En 1964, Le Secret du jour J, couronné par me Comité d'action de la Résistance, devient un best-seller international. L'Orchestre rouge (1967), Dossier 51 (1969), Le Pull-over rouge (1978), Le Dérapage (1987) connaîtront également de vifs succès et seront d'ailleurs adaptés à l'écran. Gilles Perrault est aussi l'auteur de nouvelles, Les Sanglots longs (1971) ; d'un livre sur l'affaire Rousseau, L'Erreur (1971) ; Le Grand Jour raconte l'histoire du débarquement ; La Longue Traque (1975) est consacré à la mort de Roland Farjon ; citons encore Les Gens d'ici (1981), Un homme à part (1984), Paris sous l'occupation (1987), Le Soldat perdu (1988), Notre Ami le roi (1990), Le Secret du Roi (1992, 1993 et 1996).
