About the Author
Mario Ramos est né à Bruxelles en 1958, d'une mère belge et d'un père portugais. Sa petite enfance est rythmée par des séjours chez sa grand-mère maternelle, à l'orée d'un bois, et des grandes vacances au Portugal. "Les premières histoires en images qui m'ont émerveillé sont les films de Charlot et les albums de Tintin. Très tôt, je suis fasciné par tout ce qu'on peut transmettre par un petit dessin. Études supérieures de communication graphique. Je découvre les fabuleux dessins de Tomi Ungerer et de Saul Steinberg. On s'inscrit toujours dans une continuité, c'est bon de remonter aux sources. Je commence par réaliser de nombreuses affiches, des dessins de presse, et finalement des livres pour enfants qui deviennent mon activité principale. Avec un crayon et du papier, tout est possible. C'est magique!" Auteur engagé auprès des enfants et des professionnels, Mario Ramos a publié ses 33 albums chez Pastel. Ses loups, cochons, singes et autres personnages font rire et réfléchir les grands et les petits dans le monde entier. Mario Ramos nous a quittés le 16 décembre 2012.
