Synopsis
Creative and ambitious, Franco Dragone revolutionizes the theater world with each new opus. His works have all earned international acclaim, from the ten shows he created for Cirque du Soleil, to Cêline Dion’s ‘A New Day’, and the Disneyland Paris Cinema Parade, Dragone won three Obie Awards and the Los Angeles Critics’ Award for Outstanding Achievement, and was awarded the Insignia of Knighthood from the National Order of Quebec in 2002. LE RÊVE is the third collaboration between Dragone and Las Vegas real estate magnate Steve Wynn after their back-to-back success with ‘Mystêre’ at Treasure Island and ‘O’ at Bellagio. Wynn custom built the aquatic theater at the Wynn Las Vegas resort to feature Dragone’s dazzling new show, LE RÊVE, which assembles seventy-four artists and over two thousand audience members in a spectacular but intimate setting. Featuring photographs by the renowned Jean-Marie Périer and anecdotes from behind the scenes, this book tracks the events leading up to the performance, from the initial rehearsals in Belgium, to the artists’ arrival and on-site rehearsals in Vegas, to opening night.

About the Author
Jean-Marie Perier a commence sa carriere de photographe en 1956 comme assistant de Daniel Filipacchi et travaillait en parallele pour la presse (Jazz Magazine, Paris Match). De 1962 a 1974, il a realise une serie de photographies pour le journal de Salut les Copains, cotoyant ainsi les plus grands musiciens et artistes des annees 1960. Dans les annees 1980, il alterne telefilms, longs metrages et films publicitaires pour Canada Dry, Hollywood Chewing gum, Coca-Cola, Ford, etc. Il vit desormais entre Paris et l Aveyron et fait des photographies pour Elle, Paris Match et Le Figaro Magazine. Il a deja publie aux Editions Filipacchi Mes annees 1960, et Flash (photos 1990-2001); Le Reve aux editions Flammarion; Enfant gate et Le Temps d apprendre a vivre aux editions XO; aux editions du Chene, il a publie Jean-Marie Perier et Francoise.
