Synopsis
1954, USA : alors qu'il fait sa tournée de nuit à la première neige, sur les hauts plateaux désertiques du comté de Garfield, dans l'Utah, le shérif Nick Corey découvre une voiture abandonnée. Au même moment, il voit atterrir un chasseur Sabre, sans aucune lumière. Et sans pilote. C'est le branle-bas de combat. L'armée et le FBI sont sur les dents. Quant à Corey, il se retrouve confronté à son propre passé: le tueur en série qui a assassiné ses parents et gâché sa vie réapparaît. Corey se lance à sa poursuite. Mais les cauchemars ont la dent dure... Et on peut tomber amoureux d'un agent du FBI.
