George Sand est née à Paris en 1804 et décédée en 1876. Épistolière, mémorialiste, auteur dramatique, l’amour demeure son thème de prédilection tout au long de son œuvre littéraire, qui comprend notamment La Mare au diable, La Petite Fadette, François le Champi ou encore Les Maîtres sonneurs.
