Synopsis

In preparation for sitting the FRCEM Primary examination, all applicants are strongly advised to familiarise themselves with the Basic Sciences Curriculum. Certain books proved challenging and time consuming due to various mistakes and misprints. This has led to the reason behind my own compilation, risking my exam if the sources were not accurate.

What colleagues will find in my book are short, precise explanations of terms and concepts that are written in a systematic manner according to the curriculum. My experience and success post exam have shaped my inspiration to advance the material found in this book.

 

As a result, users of my book will find at the end of every chapter several past asked questions carefully laid out and explained where necessary so that they can follow along. I have also included real past exam questions submitted to me by colleagues who have sat previous exams.

Candidates won’t find an intimidating page of endless drills in my book, but instead will read chapters in a systematic manner. They will also be able to augment their knowledge using different formats (True/False).

Not only there is an abundance of skill-building questions, I have also researched a wide variety of realistic images and diagrams. With all of these resources to choose from, I am sure that colleagues will be comfortable adapting my book to fit their practice and that they will appreciate having a text written for their level and to stimulate their interest.

A correct usage of these compiled notes and a good practice of some included exam questions will certainly place your name in the passing box.
