Synopsis

Sharing the Quest by Muz Murray

Some books teach you something. But this one awakens something within you. Readers describe Sharing the Quest as an experience that stays with you long after the last page. It is a warm, funny, unstuffy guide to the spiritual path, written by a lifelong seeker who has walked the walk. Master Muz Murray shares a lifetime of discoveries, stories of his travels and meetings with revered teachers, and offers practical answers to the questions every seeker asks. Readers say his authenticity shines through on every page.

Philosopher Colin Wilson wrote that the book's essence "lies in its sense of authenticity."

Drawing on the wisdom of Christian mystics, Hindu sages, Sufi poets, Buddhist monks and others with whom he has studied, the book cuts through dogma, spiritual silliness and false gurus. It is packed with exercises, secret hidden teachings, and astonishing insights that experienced readers say they have never found anywhere else. It is written in plain, easy-to-understand language. Whether you are just beginning to explore or have read hundreds of books on the subject, you will find something new here. Many seekers place it in their personal top five spiritual development books, and some go back to it again and again.

Several readers say it helped them through the dark nights of the soul and that Its closing section on "Soul-Sickness" felt as if it was written just for them. If you are looking for answers, or just a wise and laughing friend for the journey, this is the book for you. It also makes a perfect gift.

As one reviewer jokingly said, “Every bookshelf should have two copies, one to keep and one offer to a friend you care about. But don’t lend it out as you unlikely to ever see it again.”

Mystic master Muz Murray is one of the rare westerners to have experienced Cosmic Consciousness, Out-of-the-Body experience, Samadhi, and a Near Death Experience. As a result of his hair-raising adventures across the globe during his search for spiritual treasures, the media have dubbed him “the Indiana Jones of Yoga”.
