Synopsis

Calmez-toi en ré harmonique mineur is a monumental 118-page score documenting a single 12-minute and 15-second solo piano improvisation by British-Canadian composer Alexander Paul Burton. Situated within the "Neo-Baroquomantic" genre, the work bridges the gap between Baroque structural rigour and the expansive emotionality of the Romantic era.

This publication is more than a score; it is a document of human intentionality.

Transcribed from a live, unedited performance, the music captures 9,215 discrete musical events, preserving the unquantized rubato and nuanced touch that define authentic human expression. In an era of synthetic generation, this work stands as "Anti-Algorithm" proof of work-a sprawling, complex map of a composer's mind and body in real-time.

For the pianist, this score offers an immersive study in harmonic minor tension and spontaneous polyphony. For the researcher, it provides a high-resolution dataset of human timing and velocity.

Key Features:

• Complete Score: 118 pages of dense, unedited neoclassical notation.
• Authentic Provenance: Captured live with no post-production correction or rhythmic "gridding."
• Multimodal Integration: Includes references to archived MIDI and CSV datasets for academic and analytical study.
• Artistic Intent: A devotional exploration of the D Harmonic Minor scale, emphasizing the "Infinite Game" of craft over ephemeral digital content.
