About the Author

Mark Burch has practiced voluntary simple living since the 1950s and is the author of Simplicity: Notes, Stories and Exercises for Developing Unimaginable Wealth (1995) and Stepping Lightly (2000). Burch is the former director of campus sustainability at University of Winnipeg and co-director of the Simplicity Practice and Resource Centre. He taught at University of Winnipeg and at the Canadian School of Peacebuilding and has facilitated countless workshops on voluntary simplicity.
