Shiree Goins has not always been a friend of reptiles. While she and her husband were raising their three sons in Upstate, NY she began to realize their uniqueness and simplicity. Last year while she was working as a three - year - old preschool teacher at TLC Nursery School, she decided to adopt a bearded dragon. She enjoyed bringing Dunkin to school to visit the children and decided to write a book to share with her students and children everywhere about these exceptional pets.
Charlotte Black (Illustrator) was born and raised in beautiful Northern Michigan. Having an artist for a mother, she was introduced to art at a very young age. It was a gift that was always nurtured and encouraged. Coming from a home where simplicity was practiced, she never took art classes and learned through self-instruction and a lot of practice. Over the years she has committed to expanding her use of medium and always dreamed of one day illustrating children's books. She currently lives in Upstate New York with her husband and toddler son. She is a full-time mom, part-time personal trainer, and enjoys art on the side.
