About this title

About the Author

The Tripickaty Academy creates specialty publications and products that capture the enthusiasm of devotees of various pastimes. We believe that sharing passions with fellow aficionados enriches the experience and creates good memories. The initial TriPickaty offerings were developed around the founder’s (Kathleen McMahon) passion for bluegrass music and banjo playing. The first part of the academy’s name (TriPick), is a salute to the three finger picking style of playing bluegrass banjo while the last part of the name references Kathleen’s childhood moniker (Katy). Katy has been playing the banjo for over 30-years and has been newsletter editor of the Montana Rockies Bluegrass Association since 2010.
