Synopsis

In accordance with the terms of his plea agreement, John Henry Lawrence has been released from Federal custody. But now what? Though many believe he was framed for the murder of President Blair, others still think him guilty. And Jack doesn’t know, having no memory of that morning in Jackson Park. Can he forge a new life under the glare of a hounding press? Or will his future be forever compromised by the demons of his troubled past?A note from the author:The Diminished Capacity novels have nothing to do with contemporary politics. They are adventure stories that take place in a fictional timeline populated by fictional characters. The plots involve a combat veteran coping with post-traumatic stress following his service as a medic in the Second Afghan War. The repercussions following the President’s death will not only affect him, but the people around him, the media, the president’s family, and the country. Though this is a dark subject, these are not dark stories. They are about ordinary people striving to do the right thing in a complicated and unpredictable world.
