Synopsis
He stood triumphant. For twelve rounds the challenger had out boxed and outclassed the undefeated world champion. All that remained were the judges' anticlimactic decisions and the official coronation. Five years later he lies on a New York City street, begging for money and food. A tough, soft-souled cop reaches out to him, unaware the disheveled man he is helping was once boxing's golden boy. While the boxer battles the demons that drove his wife away and left his world in shambles, the cop wages a quiet war with his own personal loss. About the Author
Billy Pepitone is a retired New York City police officer, having served twenty years in the nation's largest local law enforcement agency. During his decorated career, he responded to numerous high-profile, large scale events, including both World Trade Center terrorist attacks. Upon his retirement, Billy has authored and co-authored several novels and novellas and also collaborated with his Emmy Award winning brother Joseph on several independent films.
