About the Author

Julian Ullmann was born in London in 1936 and obtained first class honours in Natural Sciences Tripos Part 2 (Physics) at Cambridge University in 1959. He obtained a PhD in Electrical Engineering at Imperial College and was a full professor of Computer Science for 20 years. He is the author of four technical books and numerous research papers. His main interest is in closing the huge gap between artificial and real intelligence.
