About the Author

Having lived in the Southern Arizona desert for the past 30 years, Rondi's creative work has largely been inspired by her desert home. Whether it's writing, painting, photography, blogging or crafting, she is always 'creating' something! Rondi has been designing children's consumer products for over 25 years, but writing stories was always a passion! Her first poem was written at age 4! She was able to use and develop her creative writing skills as a designer, writing marketing copy and instructions. Rondi wrote and originally illustrated Catcus Tales in 1998, but never got it published. Her career as a product designer left little time for pursuing writing and illustrating. However, over the years, she has accumulated a vast list of story ideas that she plans on writing and illustrating in the near future, now that publishing has become much easier! Catcus Tales is first on her list! Rondi lives with her husband Todd, five dogs, 4 desert tortoises and 3 chickens on a plot of 'wild' desert land filled with cactus and desert wildlife that feed her imagination and gives her plenty of writing material!
