About the Author

Dr. Eric Sandmann was born to Dutch parents in Sumatra, the Republic of Indonesia, in 1948. The whole family was forced to leave and start a new life in current Zimbabwe when he was 10 years old. He immigrated to South Africa in 1971 where he later obtained a Ph.D. in agriculture. He completed a long career in research and retired in 2012. For about the last 30 years, he has been ministering the Word of God to African communities part-time under the auspices of several churches in Pretoria, South Africa.

Heather and Eric are both active members of the Bryanston Bible Church, Johannesburg, South Africa.

For a while, Eric was Chairman of the Board of Hope 4 Healing Ministries in Johannesburg.

Eric is happily married to Heather and they live in Pretoria, South Africa. Heather has been a speech and drama teacher for about 40 years and is passionate about children's ministry, with which she has been involved for many years. They have two wonderful sons, Justin and Stephen, both married and living in Johannesburg.
