When he’s happy, he’s very happy. But when he gets mad, he gets very, very mad.
After a day filled with disappointments, Dudley puts on his Anger Suit, a fiery cloak that makes him feel invincible. With it, he believes he can finally show everyone just how angry he is. But the Anger Suit doesn’t solve Dudley’s problems. Instead, it begins to tighten and constrict, making it harder and harder for him to express himself at all. With the help of his family, Dudley discovers that anger doesn’t have to control him. He learns that he can choose how to respond to disappointment and find better ways to share his feelings.
Author Duncan Spratt Moran, a teacher with 37 years of classroom experience, understands how important social-emotional learning is in helping children grow into confident, compassionate, and emotionally healthy young adults. Dudley and the Anger Suit helps children understand anger, express their emotions, and develop healthy emotional regulation skills.
Parents, teachers, and caregivers will appreciate this fun, relatable story as a tool for starting important conversations about feelings and social-emotional learning.
