E.R.Beirne shares many of the themes that Sylvia Plath explored. Nature, death, the journey of the self, victimization, musings on the body and the love between mother and child. Born in Brooklyn N.Y. her life has been filled with the intertwining’s of Art, Music and Literature. Through her years as a Manhattan based Art Director and Graphic Artist/Book Designer/Illustrator for the Publishing Industry and the Brooklyn Museum of Art, as well as managing her own design studio – Blue Heron Graphics, E.R. Beirne has enjoyed a lifelong romance with the Arts. Singing and playing guitar in NYC and New Jersey has allowed her to participate in another passion, Music. She has been a Poetry Editor/Book Designer for The East River Review and has written poetry and short stories since the age of 6. This is her first endeavor into publishing her own work.
