Going the Distance explores hope for African families in the diverse diaspora communities in which they reside. It is a groundbreaking practical guide for immigrants and those who seek to effectively work with newcomers as they integrate with the Western world. It addresses a wide spectrum of psychological, spiritual, and sociological factors that influence the way African immigrants interact with their new world. The book speaks to the experience of the total persons in the way they think, behave, and relate in their families, communities, and wide society. In this book, Zebron and Peggie Ncube present valuable nuggets of wisdom through their personal and professional experiences in the United States and Africa. It contains practical counsel based on empirical theories of human behavior and a changing social environment.
