Synopsis

Growing up in a patriarchal society has left many young women with low self-esteem. Girls, Goddesses & Growing Up helps us understand how our egos have been conditioned to be critical of ourselves, to lack confidence, and to find fault with ourselves even when we have been successful. Highsmith explains "ego programming" and resurrects Goddess imagery to reveal the archetypes that have been hidden in plain sight for millennia. Goddesses have qualities that are within each of us, but we have not been encouraged to recognize them. With visualizations, activities, and rituals to uncover the Divine within us, Girls, Goddesses & Growing Up provides ways to awaken to the Beauty and Truth of who we are and become the best that we can be.
