Synopsis

Life on a "hand to mouth" basis is tough. This the Day family knew well. Pauline, just 14 was delivering a baby that would be adopted. This started a life of more uncertainty and error.

Difficulties with innocence and age brings on one mistake to another. Life goes on to treat her with almost happiness; then quickly drops another tragedy that proceeds with no mercy. 

Searching for an existence becomes sad details that rule. Each event engulfs more hopelessness and it becomes a weird way of life. Pauline constantly grasps entanglements leading nowhere.

About the Author

Rotha J. Dawkins was born in Lexington, North Carolina. She is a graduate of Lexington High School. While still a student, and just eighteen years old, she held the first fashion show in Lexington with twenty-five garments she had designed and made. She also designed a line of lingerie, "Le' Joy" and was designer for Neshia in New York, Greensboro Mfg. and Jemmy Prince Originals.
