They say a book can take you anywhere. Reading a book is like going on an adventure to a distant place created in the author's mind. A book can take you to the mountains, or the desert, or even under the sea. The amazing thing is that you can take a book anywhere too. You can read in your house on your favorite couch, or you can take a book with you in the car, to the beach or to a campsite by the fire! Just imagine where you could take this book to read!

About the Authors
Sheila Murphy Adams is an elementary school teacher and children's book author. She receives both inspiration and encouragement from her students. She actually published her first book because her students told her they loved it. She had written a picture book memoir as a lesson about the genre of memoir. Her students thought it was good enough to be published. And so began the adventure of writing children's books. Her latest inspiration comes from the birth of her first grandchild, Kian. Sheila lives in North Stonington, Connecticut with her husband, Mark.
Michael Dillon was born and raised in Canton Ohio, and resides in Western Massachusetts. He has been drawing illustrations and portraits as long as memory serves. With a distinct style, using colored pencils, he designs his own Christmas cards based on a character known as "Puna Plane", created from his 46 years of experience in the commercial airline industry, along with his connection to rock and roll music that he shares with his wife. This is only Michael's third venture into children's book illustration, and he "draws" his inspiration from his wife and sons as well as his grandchildren that he loves beyond words.
