Synopsis

I wish to introduce my grandmother to the world. Some of my happiest and most stable years were spent with her as a child in a small rural community fifty miles north of Birmingham, Alabama called "The Colony." My brothers and I used to visit her during the summer months and several times through the school year. Life with my grandmother on the farm was routine and very simple. It was quite a contrast to the life we had in Ohio with our parents.The years with my grandparents and aunts were the happiest of my life.

About the Author

My name is Sandra L. Fluker. I am a widow and the mother of four wonderful children. I have been a school teacher for over twenty years. I have taught for various school systems including the Detroit Public Schools, Cleveland Public Schools, Cleveland Heights/University Heights Schools. I have been a minister since 1978 and I so enjoy singing gospel and classical music and evangelizing in nursing homes and prisons. I presently reside in Brooklyn, OH. This book is specially dedicated to my beloved son Timothy E. Fluker who passed away June 30, 2019.
