Synopsis

"So many wonderfully poignant poems here in Ann Calandro’s new book of poetry, To Keep You in This World. Poems about getting old, poems about meals, poems about love—poems that concentrate on a mysterious “you” that oh so gradually becomes the reader, concluding with this request: “Please step inside/This poem with me.”

—R. M. Ryan, author of Vaudeville in the Dark
