This is a story of family, love, loss, reinvention, and redemption. Written in three parts, we first witness an idyllic childhood filled with love, warmth, laughter, and the richness of family and friends in the quaint village of Tenafly, New Jersey. Then we see the family dynamic begin to change: The extraordinary bliss enjoyed during the author's earlier years comes to a screeching halt after her father dies, she marries an older family friend, and her mother and siblings break off all contact with her. The luxury of her upbringing is suddenly renched away, replaced by desperate financial challenges and profound loneliness reaching a crescendo with her husband's death. How she overcomes these blows is the profound subject of the remaining third of this book, in which she heals herself by founding a nonprofit corporation dedicated to helping other suffering individuals. It's a story not easily forgotten.

“When life throws a curve ball most people duck, but Jane Albanese catches it and throws it back. Whoa! I’m Walking on Water is a
compelling and inspirational story, about love, loss, faith, and the ability to hang in there. It keeps your interest to the last page. Jane
takes us on her personal journey through the good times and the bad, and shows us what hard work and perseverance can accomplish. This is a must read for anyone wondering how to get through this thing called life.” — Barbara Donaldson
“This is a fascinating story of a woman who had it all. Then betrayal took her down and nearly did her in. It made my wonder why it
all happened. Eventually, after traveling numerous roads seeking satisfaction in her life, she realized her need to help others in need. Then, utilizing her many talents, she makes a difference in the lives of many who had nowhere else to turn. It’s a brave portrayal of honest emotions and experiences told in a sometimes light and other times graphic way. I found myself getting emotionally involved and didn’t want to stop reading it.” — Alicia B. Taylor
“Jane Albanese provides us with a spirited glimpse into a bygone era, as a member of a prominent Bergen County family—when family and friends lasted a lifetime, as did their stories and antics. Then after a life-shattering episode delivers her a crushing blow,
Albanese picks herself up, draws upon her inner strength and goes on to do great things.” — R. Bennett Radol, BBA, MS, MSED, MPBA, JD
“When you are in need of help and the circumstances look bleak and dire, that’s when Jane and Giants of Generosity jump into action to take away the fear and darkness, giving you hope and faith. Jane is an angel and so special.” —Sal and Carol Canariato
“It is not often in life that you come across someone with the ambition and drive of Jane Albanese. A stunning example of one
person’s success in not only overcoming obstacles in her own life, but shining that light, love and energy onto others who have faced the greatest challenges—for no other reason than a selfless desire to make their lives just a little better—an angel walking amongst us.” — Doug Singer
“Our heartfelt and sincere thanks to D. Jane Albanese and her wonderful organization, Giants of Generosity. They provided our
family with an immeasurable service when our daughter Christine suffered a catastrophic accident that left her paralyzed. Giants administered the donated funds in an efficient and timely fashion, thus relieving us of this difficult burden. Although, our beautiful daughter has passed, we will be forever grateful to Ms. Albanese. God bless!” — Robert Dominici, father of Christine Danza
“After injuring my ankle I developed a very severe pressure ulcer in rehab, and needed a special bariatric hospital bed with an air-flow mattress. Medicare sent the wrong bed, and would not replace it. Senator Cory Booker’s office put us in touch with Giants of Generosity. Jane Albanese became our angel as she worked tirelessly to find a bed for me. “Jane and her Giants are selfless, wonderful people! My pressure ulcers have closed, and I no longer have to worry about constant infections. Thank you Jane, you have saved my life.” — Angela Falber
