Synopsis
The words on the page, after we allow them to flow unbridled through our pencil, may be the clearest mirror we can gaze into. My impulse to start writing one short poem each day erupted from a deep need, and resistance, to write. The drive to keep writing each day grew from the brief moments of reflective meditation each poem gifted me. I am sharing this collection of poems as snapshot of a year's worth of daily poems. It is by no means a "best of" collection. I was never striving to write great poems. I only wanted to step back and chew on the moment with some measure of honesty. The poems in this volume were selected in their unedited glory as they most clearly represent my longing to connect with you with an intimacy I believe many of us long for.
